Product Quality
Organic agricultural products form the basis for producing healthy and high-quality organic products. The legislature has established all regulations related to the production, processing, and labeling of organic products through the Organic Regulation No. 834/2007, the EC Regulation, and the Commission Regulation No. 889/2008 attached to this document.
Diversified crop rotation and livestock suitable for local conditions provide fertile soil, healthy and strong plants, and thus form the basis of organic farming. Preventive measures with the selection of appropriate varieties help protect plants against diseases.
When transitioning to organic farming, the farm must be registered with the control body. At this point, all production lines and all agricultural operations are documented with an operational description.
Magenta carries out the certification process with its inspectors. A Magenta inspector conducts an announced inspection once a year. Throughout the year, additional unannounced inspections may be conducted during the purchase of seeds, production materials, fertilization, animal purchase, feeding and housing, balancing quantities, and labeling of organic products.
