Bio Suisse Certification

Bio Suisse is the owner of the Gemma brand. In certain key areas, its private law directives go far beyond the minimum legal requirements (such as European Organic Regulation 834/2007 or its equivalent). The Bio Suisse certificate can also be granted to foreign companies that comply with the relevant directives and wish to distribute their products in Switzerland.

The foundation for certification under the Bio Suisse Directives abroad is that it must be certified with organic validity equivalent to the Swiss Organic Regulation (e.g., EU 834/2007 or NOP). Generally, the name of a product importer who covers the Bio Suisse certification costs in Switzerland must also be specified.
